This unit standard is a core standard and forms part of the qualification, National Certificate and is registered at NQF 4. Learners working towards this Unit standard will be learning towards the full qualification, or will be working within a Marketing Environment, specialising in either Marketing Communication, Marketing Management, Market Research or Customer Management, where the acquisition of competence against this standard will add value to one`s job. This Unit standard introduces the concept of fraud and its control in an office environment to learners. It is intended for people working in administration as well as for managers of teams, sections, divisions and departments.

Brief description of Content:
• Describing the code of conduct and ethical issues
• Adhering to code of conduct
• Identifying and understanding the ethical issues in the organisation
• Describing fraud as it occurs in an office environment.
• Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of legal aspects relating to fraud in an office environment.
• Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of internal processes around the investigation of fraud in an office environment.
• Analysing trends and the impact of fraud in an office environment.
• Explaining and assisting with control mechanisms used to contain fraud in an office environment.

Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence in communicating verbally and in writing and
computer literacy at NQF 3 or equivalent and Mathematical Literacy at NQF 3.
